This past weekend, our scholars went full STEAM ahead during the STEAMPunkinetics Maker Workshop (Nov. 8–10, 2025) — an incredible collaboration between Project Fibonacci Foundation Inc., ModVic, Synaptic Labs, RFA / Rome City School District- Rome, New York , and Indium Corporation.
Hosted at Indium and led by the legendary Bruce Rosenbaum — the “Steampunk Guru” (Wall Street Journal) and “Steampunk Evangelist” (Wired Magazine) — this one-of-a-kind pilot workshop immersed RFA junior and senior students in history, art, engineering, and cutting-edge tech.
The highlight? Students created their own Time-O-Graph experiences — interactive devices that let you converse with historical or fictional characters through AI ChatGPT! A true fusion of imagination and innovation.
From Victorian aesthetics to modern AI magic, this STEAM adventure inspired our scholars to build, design, question, and dream BIG.
